There is strength in numbers. It’s especially true for new energy providers. Joining the bne is a rewarding investment in the highly-qualified representation of your interests by an authorised association. It opens the potential to exert influence far greater than any single company could bring to bear on its own. But in doing so, the bne is more than just a mouthpiece: It offers a lively platform for information exchange. It is a multiplier, coordinator and communicator. Take advantage of our network, establish contacts with like-minded people, take part in the struggle for competition and become a member!
If you are interested in joining or have any questions, we will be delighted to assist you. You can reach us by telephone at +49 (0)30 400 548 0 or by E-mail at mail@bne-online.de.
1. Specific interest representation
The Bundesverband Neuer Energieanbieter e.V. (Federal Association of New Energy Suppliers) is the only lobby in Europe for suppliers and producers which predominately use third parties’ networks to supply their customers with electricity or gas: The bne is the only organisation which represents the interests of new providers regardless of network and with emphasis on competition.
2. First port of call
The bne is the number one contact for politics, science, economics and society when it comes to new providers and the liberalisation of the energy market.
3. Expertise in energy politics
The bne’s expertise enjoys the high esteem of regulatory authorities and competition commissions in matters of grievance procedures, consultation and abuse proceedings alike: As an interested party, the bne frequently represents the interests of new energy providers directly, concentrating on where it counts most.
4. Clear communication
The members’ active participation in the bne’s committees, lively interaction among one another and efficient decision-making processes make for rapid communication in the association and mean that your interests will be positioned systematically with political decision makers.
5. Valuable communication
You can exchange valuable information and inside issues from the industry in dialogue with other member companies. The bne actively supports networking among its members.
6. Important coalitions
The bne bundles the interests of new energy providers and forms coalitions with other network user and energy sector associations, thus creating a counterbalance to the established energy corporations’ lobby.
7. Political presence
From caucuses and committees to parliamentary and ministry hearings, the bne is there - at the state and federal level alike.
8. European relations
The bne also represents network users’ interests on the European level. As an authorised market participant, the bne takes part in shaping the opinions of EU institutions. The association provides early communication and assessments on the EU’s new initiatives.
9. Established contact
Your specific interests as a network user are also represented by the bne in the task forces of the established energy sector associations.
10. Excellent service
The bne sees itself as being a service provider for its members: We regularly inform you and your company on the latest market developments and burning energy policy issues. The association will also be glad to assist you with its expertise in advisory capacity.
