Particular factors which set the bne apart include its flexibility, direct structures and the dedication of its members and emlpoyees.
Subject-specific research groups enable direct, and thus rapid, access to specialised expertise. These groups are where experts work on developing decision templates. The steering committees for electricity, gas and production determine topics of overriding importance in regular sessions. The coordination office is in charge of current key issues.
This allows the bne to formulate technically substantiated positions in a target-oriented manner and establish them in advance of the political decisions, thus guaranteeing effective lobby work.
The following persons are currently members of the bne board of directors: Dr. Hans-Martin Huber-Ditzel (BKW Energie GmbH) as chairman, Dr. Gerd Gies (GDF SUEZ Energie Deutschland AG) as deputy chairman, Marc Ehry (PCC Energie GmbH), Frank-Yves Le Vaillant (natGAS AG), Gero Lücking (LichtBlick AG), Dr. Thomas Mecke (lekker Energie GmbH), Dieter Ploch (eprimo GmbH), Ina Raskop (Yello Strom GmbH) sowie Dr. Jörg Spicker (Alpiq Energie Deutschland AG).
